Community Connections
Are you part of a community group, school, art collective, or organisation, and are you interested in collaborating with the University Gallery on a creative or educational project?
We would love to hear from people from the North East who are interested in working with our collections, creating events, or even learning about curating exhibitions, caring for collections, or about the artwork and objects that we care for.

Exhibitions and Artwork
We welcome donations of artwork and we are open to suggestions of temporary exhibitions. We cannot always accommodate such requests and all requests will be subject to our approval procedure, but please contact us using the form below in the first instance to discuss any proposals.
If you would like to know more about an object or artwork that you have, the gallery staff may be able to help identify it and give you more information, such as artist, age, or materials used. If you would like to bring an object for identification, you must arrange this in advance with the gallery staff. Objects and artwork cannot be left with staff in the gallery without prior arrangements. Please get in touch to arrange object identification by using the contact form.
Please note that we do not offer valuations for objects and we will not recommend art dealers or auction houses.
